Registration opens on Friday, March 13, 2020

This tour is limited to 25 registrations.

Almost Heaven….West Virginia!!! You’re invited to one of the most beautiful states in the country during the most beautiful time of year. Drive your favorite Model A along the winding backroads of WV. Roads made for Model A’s and sightseeing. Along the way you’ll see scenic rivers, beautiful forests, awe-inspiring mountains and plenty of curves.

This tour will be packed with local treasures such as the Exhibition Coal Mine, The Greenbrier, America’s Resort, and scenery like the New River Gorge Bridge. There will be something for everyone, even the shoppers in the group. Spend some time at Tamarack, The Best of WV; arts, crafts and cuisine. Looking for a photo op? We’ll be crossing a covered bridge with time to stop and capture a souvenir picture. We will also tour Lewisburg, a National Registered Historic District, with quaint antique shops, restaurants and voted America’s Coolest Small Town.

Welcome party at the host hotel to include BBQ, groovy oldies music and a dance floor to show off some of your moves.

About Us

The Southeastern Touring Group was founded to give MAFCA members the opportunity to explore the Southeastern United States in their Model A's.  The concept was initiated by Katie Herrick and Happy Begg.  They saw a real need for a dedicated group of touring Model A enthusiasts to drive the beautiful back roads of the Southeast together.

An initial group of 5, Katie Herrick, Happy Begg, Cheryl Austin, John Cockerill, and Steve Grace applied to MAFCA for a Special Interest Group Charter.  The Charter was granted on April 23, 2016.

The first tour to the area surrounding Asheville, NC was a great success with 25 Model A's and 48 people.  All enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the Blue Ridge Parkway and several other Scenic Highways in the area.
